IWMSecureChannel::WMSC_SetSharedData method (wmsecure.h)

[The feature associated with this page, Windows Media Format 11 SDK, is a legacy feature. It has been superseded by Source Reader and Sink Writer. Source Reader and Sink Writer have been optimized for Windows 10 and Windows 11. [WMSC_SetSharedData is available for use in the operating systems specified in the Requirements section. It may be altered or unavailable in subsequent versions. Instead, use Microsoft PlayReady. ]

The WMSC_SetSharedData method is used during the connection negotiation process.

Syntax

HRESULT WMSC_SetSharedData(
  [in] DWORD      dwCertIndex,
  [in] const BYTE *pbSharedData
);

Parameters

[in] dwCertIndex

[in] pbSharedData

Return value

If this method succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise, it returns an HRESULT error code.
