IWMSInternalAdminNetSource::GetCredentials method (wmsinternaladminnetsource.h)
[The feature associated with this page, Windows Media Format 11 SDK, is a legacy feature. It has been superseded by Source Reader and Sink Writer. Source Reader and Sink Writer have been optimized for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Microsoft strongly recommends that new code use Source Reader and Sink Writer instead of Windows Media Format 11 SDK, when possible. Microsoft suggests that existing code that uses the legacy APIs be rewritten to use the new APIs if possible.]
The GetCredentials method retrieves a cached password.
This method has been superseded by IWMSInternalAdminNetSource3::GetCredentialsEx2. The methods of IWMSInternalAdminNetSource3 are much more secure than the password caching methods in IWMSInternalAdminNetSource and should be used if available.
Syntax
HRESULT GetCredentials(

[out] BSTR *pbstrName,
[out] BSTR *pbstrPassword,
[out] BOOL *pfConfirmedGood

[out] pbstrPassword
Pointer to a string containing the password.
[out] pfConfirmedGood
Pointer to a Boolean value that is set to True if the password was cached after it was confirmed as correct by the server.
