Is it possible to manage a group of learners within an organisation?

Is it possible to manage learners from the same organisation to suggest courses and manage progress?

As a manager of a small team of 3 I would like to suggest (not limit) courses that would be useful and be able to centrally see how they are progressing.

Could you please provide more information about your issue?

I have some questions as following.

How could you get the data of courses and progress?
Do you enter them in Excel workbook via manual effort? Or do you need some automated process to obtain the courses and progress data of learners automatically?

What type of results do you want to get?
Could Excel charts be OK? Or you need something others?
