Hello There,

While reading Blob-overview in the blob storage documentation, I came across about 'Storage Accounts'; terms like 'namespace', 'unique name' are used. am wandering whether the author of this documentation would mean to refer the same by 'namespace' and 'unique name of the blob-object address'?

the documented information is as follows:

A storage account provides a unique namespace in Azure for your data. Every object that you store in Azure Storage has an address that includes your unique account name. The combination of the account name and the Blob Storage endpoint forms the base address for the objects in your storage account.

Would anyone please help me with my concern.

Thank you for your time and concern.storage-blobs-introduction

    Hello @ArunRaaman ,
Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.
Yes the Storage account is unique and all the contaiiner ( inside the storage account ) and files ( csv , images etc ) and are going to inside the container .
You can think this as a the ZIP code or PIN code in an address . There are first thing whcih the post office guys look when moving mails . So if I need to access a file in a storage account
ThreadCount.csv . When you check the file localtion it will be something like

    https://Storageaccontname.blob.core.windows.net/himanshu/ThreadCount.csv

You can see here that the file you will have to go through the storage account .

Please do let me if you have any queries.
    Thanks
    Himanshu
