Dear Support,
I am trying to upgrade Windows Server 2016 to Windows Server 2022 and wish to keep files, settings and apps.
This option is 'greyed out', leaving only 'Nothing' as the available option.
Please can you advise on how to overcome this problem?
Thank you,
Allen

Many thanks - I'll double-check on this!
Best wishes,
Allen
Yes - just having a battle with the company that supplied me with a license key and directed me to the Evaluation Website download, but will not supply me with the full 2022 installation media!!
All rather suspect....
Thanks for your help,
Allen
still getting the same situation
How are you trying? Run setup.exe from the root of the install media inside of windows. You might also check the log files for clues.

Hi DSPatrick,
Thanks for the help - I am running the DVD, and using the 'setup.exe' as the starting program, launching it from the existing Server 2016 operating system. It runs through all the initial set-up procedures - entering the license key etc., but just will not give the option to 'Keep files, settings and apps'.
I'll have a look at the log files and see if I can decipher anything that may help.
I appreciate you help,
Allen
