Disable Delegate Permissions in Outlook

Is it possible for the Outlook administrator to disable all or a portion of the "Delegate Permissions" feature in Outlook?

In an effort to maintain least privileged access, we would like to disable this feature, or possibly limit it to read only. We understand that there may be instances where it is necessary to grant a higher level of access for a delegate, but presume this could be addressed on a case by case basis.

Thank you!

Not possible, sorry. A user has full access to their own mailbox and you can not prevent that, sorry.

If that is the case, is there a means of reporting that would show who the account was delegated to?

And just to clarify, we don’t want to restrict the owner’s permissions to the mailbox, only their ability to delegate permissions to others.

I’m a bit surprised that this can’t be disabled, as it would seem to fly in the face of “least privilege”.

    Thank you!
