Hi,
There is a small conundrum I have encountered concerning Azure Backup and Restore. Here is the situation:

So for each server one needs: a Vault, uploaded cert and a passphrase at the minimum. Let's say now I'd like to restore my data from Vault1 to Server 3. Vault 1 is registered only with Srv 1. What do I need to do in order to do it?

Can a vault have more than 1 srv registered? On the pic they demand only the vault credentials (I presume for Vault 1). What about cert and a passphrase?

Can anybody with knowledge shed some light on this thing? Thank you!

Hello @InfoTechdude , Apologies for delay in response to your query.

You have an interesting scenario! :) But I am afraid to say that this is not a supported scenario. Because Backup/Restore needs the server to be registered to the Vault it is restoring it from. That said, to restore SRV1 to SRV3, SRV3 has to be a registered server in Vault1.

However, in case of Azure VM backup using the File Folder restore i.e. ILR which uses iSCSI mount does not need the server to be registered. Reference - https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/azure/backup/backup-azure-arm-restore-vms

Feel free to ping if you have any further questions in this matter.
