I am trying to use MS Teams with my son, but we can't seem to get his account connected. It repeatedly asks him to choose a new password and never logs into Teams.

Does anyone else have the same issue in your organization?
Do you mean you cannot login in Teams client normally is using old password?
Can you login in Teams web client normally?

I managed to get Microsoft support on a chat exchange. I have a Microsoft 365 Family subscription linked to e-mail addresses on my own .ca domain that I use for my family (four of us). The fellow on the chat said that for some reason Microsoft had determined that my domain is linked to a corporate account (shouldn't be the case since I own the domain...) and this is confusing the Teams server which is expecting the corporate account administrator to enable our accounts.
Anyway, we are in some kind of limbo until they figure this out. They say they are working on it...
In this case, you can contact your Teams admin to check if account has been enabled in Teams admin center(https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/).
Is there any progress on this issue?
No progress at all. I have a support case id of 1509628890, but it doesn't look like anything has happened.
I don't have a Teams admin to contact. Or, maybe I'm the Teams admin for my family, but I don't know how to administer the account.
