Hi There,
Hope someone can help me with the question I have.
We are planning to move SSAS to Azure AS. But there is a bit of confusion regarding the cost. So would like to know how the cost works if we Pause and Resume the service.
For example: If we subscribe for S4 instance which has 400 QPUs and 100 GB for a monthly subscription for around 8k AUD. Now if we pause and resume the service say during off hrs from 8Pm to morning 5 AM may be just an example. Then how much I should pay for monthly subscription and how the cost is divided when I pause and Resume the service.

Thank you for your response. How does the subscription cost deducted if I pause it. does it move to the next month subscription amount. How much we save hourly or so if we pause it or do we get any discount when we pay for upcoming month.

This is similar to VMs. Analysis cost is based on hours usage of QPU and memory. When the Analysis server is paused you are not billed for those for the time it is paused. So there is no deduction just not billed. If you want to calculate the savings. Calculate the price according to your SKU for the whole month and subtract the amount you would pay for the paused hours or even simpler just calculate the price for your SKU for the time the server will be running in a month period.
