Q1: What constitutes a "value" mentioned in the Total description?
Q2: What is the unit of measure of that 'Value" ( for ex: in IOPS, in milliseconds, etc...)

The "UnitName" column tells you the unit of measure you are looking for. The UnitName identifies the Unit of Metric that applies to values of the specific MetricName.

I reran this time with the UnitName and it shows N/A, thus my question. Thank you!
Some metric names do not have unit name defined. For ex: The resource provider Network interface (resource name: rarana-vm816) has no metric unit defined for "Packets Sent". So you will see K (kilo) as unit of measure on graphs.
