Why is One Drive saying that the files I just created are deleted?

This is a BRAND NEW COMPUTER, I randomly have been getting pop ups on my new Asus Tuff computer that keeps saying that my onedrive is deleting my files permanently or something. But 1) the files it talks about are ones I am currently working on or have open. and 2) I don't see them deleting them. But I get worried that it will eventually delete them? It's kind of terrifying and confusing!?

    Hi Emily,

    I'd recommend re-installing OneDrive:

    Reinstall OneDrive

I'm not familiar with this happening when you save/edit files. Rest assured, if things are deleted, there is a backup recycle bin on OneDrive online to restore files:

Restore deleted files or folders in OneDrive

    Hi @Emily Arant,

Did you sync these files to local machine?

How did you open the files? From local or web?

Did you delete any files recently?

I suggest check the storage for OneDrive and Windows.

I also check if you can find any files from recycle bin, try to clear the recycle bin.

Just checking in to see if the information was helpful. Please let us know if you would like further assistance.
