Unable to configure E-Mail Account in MS-Outlook due to DNS

Hello,

Actually I'm facing one issue thing is that I have created one local domain with internal DNS server. Our sister company have Microsoft exchange server and they generate email accounts for us when I try to add a account in outlook, it does not work if i use my internal DNS server but keep living in my internal DNS server if i go to google enter exchange server URL from there i can sign in too and even when if I use any external DNS like 8.8.8.8, it works successfully. Once outlook is connected, I remove the external DNS Server and it keeps working and sometimes I have to remove that device from local domain and then I connect outside NAT mean out of my network it woks one done again I add that device in my local domain and it keep working.

Please if anyone can assist me regarding above issue. As I just entered in system administration.

Are you running a Windows Server to control your internal DNS within your domain? Or is it some firewall equipment setting these values?

I read through your post but not quite clear about your question. Is there any error message when you failed to add the account in Outlook?

@ Dillon yes i'm running windows server to control your internal DNS within my local domain. I'm not able to add outlook account until i use my internal dns once i use external dns It's work.

I'm sure about password and email when i use same username and password while living in internal dns on URL it works but in outlook i can't add account. once i connected with external dns like 8.8.8.8 it works, after adding account in outlook i move back to my internal dns and it's keeps working.

Error: an encrypted connection to your mail server is not available.

Hello @Hamza Nisar ,

You could follow below steps to create:

Click tools-DNS

Click to expand your server name

Expand Forward Lookup zones

Select the domain for which you would like to create an Auto discover record.

Right-click the domain name and select New Alias (CNAME)

In the Alias Name field, type Auto discover

Type the fully qualified domain name

Check if the issue still persist after you create the record.

Hi Anusha, now if facing one issue what i you know what my local domain name i mean internal domain name is same like external domain name, our external domain name is manage by our sister company now i think there is a domain name conflict since i made autodiscover all people in our company are suffering like prompting over and over again for password.. and in ios i mean i iphones people are not able to login.

and one more thing i don't know the external exchange server ip.. so should i select my fully qualified domain name? bcz there is no A record for the exchange server as well as ms recored.
