Container Apps Resource groups

When creating the first container app you are required to create a container app environment. During the process you select which resource group to deploy the CAE to, but during deployment most of the components that are created are actually deployed to a different resource group called MC_

I just tried testing multiple times creating the containerApps using the Azure Portal and we don't see any additional resourcegroups with name MC_

Even when we create the containerApps using CLI we use the sample below commands:

az containerapp env create --name 'myenv' --resource-group 'mygroup' --location 'location'

az containerapp create --name 'appname' --resource-group 'mygroup' --environment 'myenv' --image imagename

MC_ groups comes into picture at the time of AKS cluster creation.

When you create a container app env, azure effectively creates an aks cluster to run the container apps. The AKS components are deployed to the resource group MC*.* The 2 load balancers, the network security group and the public are deployed to the MC resource group while the "Container app environment" resource is deployed to the resource group that is specified during the creation process....

My question was, can the AKS components that are deployed to MC_ resource group be deployed to the same Resource group as the container app. Why do we need an additional resource group created?

Regarding the managed resource groups prefixed with "MC_", there's work underway for completely removing them (or enabling better management) but I'm unable to share any specific timeframe at this time.
