I have some users that do not get the Distribution Groups option under View all outlook settings>General some do and some don't.
Agree with Vasil that it's related to the MyDistributionGroups and MyDistributionGroupMembership MyDistributionGroups and MyDistributionGroupMembership rolesSo, please check if the users who cannot see this option are assigned a role assignment policy that doesn't include these two roles.
- In EAX, go to Recipients > Mailboxes, select a user mailbox that cannot see the Distribution Group option.
- Click Edit. In the mailbox properties window that opens on the right, click Mailbox, the role assignment policy is shown in the Role assignment policy field.
Then you can check if this policy includes the two roles mentioned above:
- Open the classic EAC, go to Permissions > User roles.
- Select the role assignment policy you want to check, go through the roles assigned to it, select "MyDistributionGroups" and "MyDistributionGroupMembership" roles if they haven't been ticked:
