How to tell outlook to use full words in rules?

Hello,

We use automated rules to set a category in outlook based on if our name occurs in the body of the incoming mail. A collegue is named Chris, so the rule searches for "Chris" in the body of the mail. It also reconizes a client named "Christian".

How can we make an exception in the rule for when Christian is not mailing to Chris?

It is possible that Christian will mail Chris, so I cannot just make an exception for the word "Christian" or something in his footer. Some clients use first name, some second. So both are already in the search criteria.

    Welcome to our forum!

    As i know, there are no specific conditions or exceptions in the rule settings that can be used to meet your needs. Names containing the same header fields are retrieved in the body. It's by design.

    As a work around, we can add multiple options in the horizontal line of "with**_**___in the body", which contains the punctuation marks and other characters that we commonly use after the name when editing emails, such as a space, a comma, a period, an exclamation point, etc., as shown in the following figure.
