Exercise - Create an Azure resource - instructions do not match.

Just a comment that the instructions with creating a new VM. The instructions do not follow the options presented on the screen. I was able to work through it but there are differences.

Just an FYI for the Learn team to review.

    Hello, @Rodney Beaudry !

Thank you for reporting this! If I've missed anything in my notes below, let me know and I'll add it to the feedback I send to the content team.

    Where am I seeing this?

Subject: Exam AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals

Learning Path: Azure Fundamentals: Describe Azure architecture and services

Module: Describe the core architectural components of Azure

Unit: 7/9 Exercise - Create an Azure resource

What am I seeing? Instructions for creating a VM are somewhat out of date compared to the current UI.

Task 1, step 2: You can now create a VM from "Create a resource" but would have to search if looking under Compute. Searching for "virtual machine" and selecting "Virtual machine" from Microsoft as an Azure Service is probably the most reliable method for creating a VM.

Everything else appeared on my end the same way as described in the lesson, so be sure to let me know if you are seeing something different. Thank you again for reporting this!
