Outlook not separating conversation emails

When I receive an email and forward it to a new recipient, once they replay it starts a new email conversation chain. I then have to go search for the original email that I forwarded. I have my email set to sort by date and I have "show as conversations" on as well. This only started happening the last few days.

    Hi @Kristen Robertson ,

    Welcome to our forum!

When I receive an email and forward it to a new recipient, once they replay it starts a new email conversation chain.

Do you mean that the forwarded email became the original email of the conversation but not the email you firstly received, right?

If so, based on my test, i found that when the "Always Expand Selected Conversation" option is not enabled, we need to click the Expand icon twice to expand the whole conversation.

    Here is my test:

According to the image above, we can clearly see that one click can only see two emails in the conversation, but two clicks can see five emails for the entire conversation. So it's suggested that you could try to click on the Expand icon twice or enable the "Always Expand Selected Conversation" to expand the entire conversation at once.

If the above is not your issue, considering that your view is corrupted, please try to click Reset View. If it doesn't work, there's such a command to reset the view settings: win+R> type: outlook /cleanviews.(This command will delete all custom view settings. If you need to keep other view settings, please remember to back up.)

    Hope to help you!
