Edge, IOS, SSL Errors

I've got a firewall (pfsense) which I have minted a CA and a Cert for - it's been working fine for years across all my browsers once I've installed the Root CA - so IOS Safari + Edge, Windows 11 - Edge, Chrome and Firefox. But couple of days ago Edge on IOS started complaining about the site.

I can't see what the problem is with the certs as hitting the shield only shows tracking prevention stuff

Error is NET:ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID

It's as though the last update to Edge to 110.1587.44 stopped it reading the self signed Root CA I installed to enable trust of my own certs.

I've reset the devices, and completely deleted and reinstalled Edge to no avail.

    Hi @Paul Manning

As far as I know, this is due to Apple keychain restrictions. User certificate is first installed in the Apple keychain store and then expected to be used for authentication.

Currently only Apple-provided apps such as Safari or Mail are parts of the Apple keychain access group and have access to installed certificates stored in keychain, while this functionality is not available in other browsers such as Edge.

Due to the amount of architectural change and Apple cooperation required, the support for client authentication certificates in Edge iOS is not available now. I suggest that you can provide feedback to Edge team through the feedback option in the ellipsis menu in Edge iOS.

Hello everyone, is there anything new about the case?

Nothing has happened here since last year? The issue affects many users and microsoft doesn't care.

You might as well write the requests on the toilet paper.
