I had the same problem, but found that if I first signed in at azure; portal.azure.com, the sandbox worked.
Can not sign into sandbox
In the learning path, in the exercises where access to the sandbox is required, the page is split into two parts. Left are the instructions and right is what should be the sandbox. In the sandbox part, I am presented with this prompt: "Sign in with your account. If your account doesn't have a registered Learn profile, this process will complete that for you." When I click on "Sign in" and chose my account it refreshes back to the same page with the same message: "Sign in with your account. If your account doesn't have a registered Learn profile, this process will complete that for you.".. No matter how often I sign in, or which browser I use, it always shows the same prompt!
Again, clicking on "Sign in" and actually signing in does not change the state of what is shown in the screenshot. Although it did seem to use up my available sandboxes for the day..
Has anybody else had this problem and was able to fix it?

Usually sometimes there are issue with the sandbox, give sometime before you initiate a session. Also there should be a feedback on that page you can provide inputs with your issues.
And Azure Learnings Certifications is not managed on Q&A.
Hope this helps.

Is this issue confined only to this module or all the other modules?
If you haven't tried this already, please try the following steps:
- Try this in incognito browser mode
- Try this on a different browser
- Try this on a different Outlook account Why am I getting a "Sign into invited account" error when attempting to login to a sandbox?
As reported by @Polaris , it appears that there is a login issue with the learn sandboxes when using Hotmail email accounts that have been merged with Outlook.com. Using a separate account that was never merged with Outlook.com is a temporary workaround while we work on a fix.
Issue summary:
- "Sign into invited account" error when logging into sandbox
- Temporary workaround is to use a different account -- Reference
Yes, the sandbox environment created for a module is available for four consecutive hours to ensure that you can finish the module. The Microsoft Learn exercises are meant to be finished in one sitting, in an hour or less: https://video2.skills-academy.com/training/support/faq?pivots=sandbox#how-long-does-the-sandbox-stay-around
