I am trying to open a presentation, it pops up with a dialog box saying, it found a problem with the presentation but it can attempt to repair upon hitting the repair button (other option is cancel), it opens a completely different saved powerpoint presentation.

How can I access the previous presentation I need? It has correct time and date when it was edited last and had no issues saving before.

    Hi @Nicole Wills

If you are told to repair this presentation, this file may be corrupted.

Can this presentation file be opened successfully on other machines?

I suggest you press Win + R key to open Run dialog, enter powerpnt /safe, and click OK. This action will run PowerPoint in safe mode, then please open this file for a check. This action can help us troubelshoot the COM add-in.

Besides, please go to File > Open, locate to the file and click on it. Select Open and Repair from the dropdown list of the Open button.

It's also recommended to change the location to store this file for a check , such as the Desktop.
