I installed a new SCOM2022 and able to push agent from console on VMs with are on the same domain as the SCOM MGs. But when I try to install agents to servers in a trusted and/or child domains, I got the below error.

The Operations Manager Server could not find directory \TestVM01\C$\Windows. Agent will not be installed on computer TestVM01.domainB.com. Please verify the required share exists.

Operation: Agent Install

Install account: DomainA\SCOM_AA

Error Code: 80070035

Error Description: The network path was not found.

I checked the below

Manual agent installation works without issues. But Console based agent push is not working. (I've 1000+ VMs to install agent on)

I make sure that the action account is a member of a local administrators group on each VMs and has a logon as service right on the MGs.

Both management action account and the DAS account are domain accounts

I can access the share using the management action account from the management servers with FQDN. \TestVM01.domainB.com\C$\Windows\ but not with host name \TestVM01\C$\Windows.

Two-way bidirectional trust relationship = yes

Firewall off

Checked both the DAS Account(SDK/Config) and the management server action account have the necessary permission both in MSDB and OperationsManger databases as per Kevin's blog

https://kevinholman.com/2020/07/23/scom-2019-security-account-matrix/

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

    Hi,

The error codes do not often tell us much, to get a better idea what this error means we should always check the Operations Manager event log. Look for the event ID 10602 in the Operations Manager event log.

I can access the share using the management action account from the management servers with FQDN. >>\TestVM01.domainB.com\C$\Windows\ but not with host name \TestVM01\C$\Windows.

The two keys that commonly affect this:

DNS name resolution (Agent to MS, and MS to Agent)

    DNS suffix search order
