In my company, we want to obtain the "Security" Solutions Partner designation. However, we are unsure, which certifications to ask our engineers to fulfil. The CURRENT skilling requirements appear to be very clear - as outlined here.
- M365 Security Administrator Associate (Up to 6 individuals for max points)
- Azure Security Engineer Associcate (same 6 individuals)
- Same individuals should then complete 1 of the these 3 certifications: MS Security Operations Analyst (SC-200) / MS Identity & Access Administrator (SC-300) / MS Information Protection Administrator (SC-400)
Now, the problem is, that one part of it, the MS-500 is being retired on June 30th 2023 - as described in this blog entry here. It seems, furthermore, that the renewal of MS-500 will only be possible until end of 2023.
Hence, I am now unsure, it is the right thing to invest so much effort in MS-500 not knowing what is going to follow.
Does anyone know what would the be advisable procedure over the next 3 months?
The above-mentioned blog, it is suggested that we should perhaps directly go for one of of the SC-x00. However, that would currently not suffice for the solution partner status, which looks like a "catch 22" to me.
