How secure is the Wipe function in Intune for Windows 11 devices

Hi all, I am looking to remove quite a few devices from our Intune portal as part of that process getting them back to OOBE in a cleaned state.

My main concern though, is how thorough a wipe from Intune is ?

On a Corporate owned device that had been bitlockered, is it safe to assume that its non recoverable?

Cheers

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

Yes, the Wipe action restores a device to its factory default settings. The user data is kept if you choose the Retain enrollment state and user account checkbox. Otherwise, all data, apps, and settings will be removed.

Wipe action will be the option to make sure the device is cleaned! Refer to:

Remove devices by using wipe, retire, or manually unenrolling the device

Thanks for your time. Have a nice day!

    Best regards,

    Simon
