Hello. I have a laptop with Windows 10 Enterprise version 21H2, OS build 19044.2728.
Quick Access is missing from the Navigation Pane and I have not been able add it.
Quick Access only appears when first opening a File Explorer window, but will not show in the Navigation Pane. This is only place it appears:
This Quick Access view of course disappears once any other folder or library is clicked.
I have tried all combinations of the Folder Options settings listed below:
I have tried all combinations of the Navigation Pane settings shown here:
I have tried this registry setting followed by a Windows Explorer (and computer) restart as listed in several online articles:
I have searched Group Policies, but see no setting that would prevent Quick Access from showing in the Navigation Pane.
None of this has worked.
Any help you can provide is appreciated!

Have you tried using the "Restore Defaults" or "Reset Folders" option in the folder properties tab?
Here are some ways to access recent folders without the quick access pin to try and re-pin it.
Navigate to the following in File Explorer by typing it into the navigation bar and hitting enter
%appdata%\microsoft\windows\
find the "Recent Items" icon and right-click to pin to quick access if you can.
Alternatively you can type ***shell:::{22877a6d-37a1-461a-91b0-dbda5aaebc99} ***into the navigation bar and then use the "Home" tab in the ribbon to select "Pin to Quick Access" this option may look unviable but should work.

I had not tried Restore Defaults or Reset Folders, but tried both separately and neither resolved the problem.
I appreciate your suggestion to pin Recent Items to Quick Access, but my usage of Quick Access is more of a "frequently accessed locations" (may or may not be recent). Also, when Quick Access is available, it can usually be selected in the File | Open of most applications which is another place I [used to] use it frequently. Almost every file I access nowadays must be located by navigating from scratch. :(

@David Shepherd WE are experiencing the same issue. WE have imaged about 20 new laptops and none of them have quick access. we checked the image and its the same as we used on our former laptops that do have quick access. we have run all possible updates and tried every single solution we came across as far as we know. have you been able to solve your problem?

Sorry @Mara Mannaerts I just noticed your comment from November when I received the notification from Aaron's post. Sadly no, I still have the same issue and have never been able to solve it. Hoping for Microsoft to shed some light.
@David Shepherd I hope so too, we have created a new image, and suddenly it is gone. I don't get it
@Mara Mannaerts We have also found that a complete Wipe and reload is the only option for now which is not ideal as this will have to be done on about 50 odd devices.

Try this. Open back your options dialog box and click on the View tab (the middle one). Towards the top, click on the button "Reset Folder". It does something different than "Restore Defaults" and it just might have what you need. Good luck with it, it fixed mine.
Hi @Trace Cook . Thank you for your suggestion. I tried that earlier (see 6/20/23 comments) but just tried it again in case. It still did not fix the issue of Quick Access not being an option in the left navigation pane. :( At this point I'm about ready to reformat the hard drive and start from scratch.
Same here, we tried all the regular quick fixes, no dice, now one of my IT guys has gone the command prompt way... still no dice, new image, nothing... it has been a pain to fix... also someone told me that MS took that option out in WIN11 is that true? He said the closer you get to the WIN 11 version OS, the more will change to bridge the gap between 10 and 11.
