Why is the availability (SLA) for Azure Redis Cache and Azure KeyVault "so much" lower than the other resources we use. Most resources guarantee an SLA of 99.99% but Redis Cache and Keyvault guarantee "only" 99.9%.

Is there another tier for Redis that guarantees a higher SLA? We currently use the standard tier.

Azure Cache for Redis
Azure Cache for Redis
An Azure service that provides access to a secure, dedicated Redis cache, managed by Microsoft.

    @Gregor Suttie

    Standard redis SKUs are served by 2 VMs which are in a single availability zone. This makes SLA target higher than 99.9% for a single cache difficult.

    There are multi-AZ, multi-replica (>2 VMs) configurations available now. If you need higher availability, please see High availability for Azure Cache for Redis | Microsoft Learn

    Hope this helps. Please get back to us for more information.

    Thanks
