Hi, I'm trying to create a Azure OpenAI resource. When I tried earlier(last week), it was taking less than 10 minutes for the resource to get created. But now, it is taking more than 1 hour. I tried cancelling and creating again. But, it is still the same. Is it normal for a resource creation to take more than an hour? Thanks!

@Shanthi T V Creation of an OpenAI resource can sometimes take upto an hour as mentioned in the documentation. Which region are you currently using to deploy the resource?

While the steps for resource creation and model deployment can be completed in a few minutes, the actual deployment process itself can take more than hour. You can create your resource, start your deployment, and then check back in on your deployment later rather than actively waiting for the deployment to complete.

This could be due to non-availability of required backend compute resources in the region that you are using. You could try to use a different region or wait until the deployment fails or gets cancelled before trying again. Usually this should get addressed by the service team if there are persistent failures. We are also checking internally for any known issues that could be causing this. Thanks!!
