SCCM Client install and local group policy update question

Hi All
When SCCM client is installed, it is meant to update the local group policy with the SCCM/WSUS server setting for Windows Updates.
This is happening to handful of machines. However, i am finding that this is not happening on some as well.
There is no GPO set from domain level for Windows Update as well.
Can anyone suggest how to troubleshoot this? I could get around it by setting the Windows Updates settings on domain GPO. But, the bottom line is, the local group policy should get updated when SCCM client is installed, but is not happening on some machines. Trying to figure out why.

Thanks
DM

    A couple fo things that you can check -

    1. Are the endpoints in question registered with the MP and have a fully functional ConfigMgr agent running?
    2. Are the clients receiving the policies?
    3. Do you have relevant client policies targeted to these devices in question? If you are using custom client policy for SUP then make sure it is assigned to these devices.

    @David Moon
    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.
    Like Jason said, WUAHandler.log records details about the Windows Update Agent on the client, you may find it in %windir%\CCM\logs.

    Thanks everyone. Finally figured out the issue.
    The default boundary group didn't have any reference server in it.
    Noticed in scanagent.log, kept getting "Sources are not current".
    All seems to be working now.
    Thanks, DM.
