Azure labs VMs shutting down unexpectedly

I was running a class using Azure Labs yesterday for around 50 students. Half an hour into the lesson all the VMs shutdown automatically even though they are all being used actively. The VMs are running Ubuntu and they are being accessed via RDP. Just wondering if there might be any reason why this might have happened? Would turning off the auto shutdown functions help?

    Can you please tell me in details which os you are using as VM and subscription.

    Do you use auto shutdown functions?

    I mean third part of the image.
    Shut down virtual machines when users do not connect.
