Azure search : Hithighlights missing while performing search with Boolean operators

Hi,
Some of the words are missing the markups for highlights while performing Boolean search with AND operator.

For example,

Search string : damage AND waste

The text on which I am performing search, has both the words "damage" and "waste", but on the hit-highlights field in the response, only the word "damage" is coming with the markup for highlight (<em>damage<em/>) and not the word "waste". However the results are relevant as the text contains both the words, just that the markup is missing for the word "waste".
In the API parameters I have clearly specified which field to get highlights from (Same as the field to search on) and I also tried to increase the max number of hit-highlights as given in the documentation.
I am using a basic subscription.
Any inputs on why this is happening or how I should try to troubleshoot the issue.

Thanks
