Deploy Slack in Intune with Microsoft Store app (new)

I am asking you this question but we are in a corporate setting. The ability to push Slack updates through the app store is much simpler and scalable.

Windows context :

We now deploy Slack on our Windows devices with the "Microsoft Store App(new)" type as it is much easier to deploy the application and to force updates. It avoids pushing the application with the new MSI when Slack does an update. However we note that the Slack application downloadable from the Microsoft Store is version 4.31.155.0. The latest version of Slack on the Internet is version 4.32.122. It seems to me that each publisher is responsible for the versions of its application on the different stores. Do you know if Slack is responsible for updates on the various publishers' stores? On these store versions we cannot force the update. If we install the application via MSI we end up with two different Slack clients. Does anyone have visibility on this type of case? I have opened a ticket at Slack.

[Update, on the apple Store the version of Slack is now well up to date in version 4.32.122]
MacOS context :

We now deploy Slack on our MacOS devices with the "macOS volume purchase program app" type as it is much easier to deploy the application and to force updates. It avoids pushing the application with the new PKG when Slack does an update. However we note that the Slack application downloadable from the apple Store is version 4.31.155.0. The latest version of Slack on the Internet is version 4.32.122. It seems to me that each publisher is responsible for the versions of its application on the different stores. Do you know if Slack is responsible for updates on the various publishers' stores? On these store versions we cannot force the update. Does anyone have visibility on this type of case? I have opened a ticket at Slack.

Would you advise us to push application updates rather via MSI or PKG for each OS?

If so, do you have configuration files to force automatic updates for Slack (one for each OS, a bit like Google Chrome with automatic forced updates).

Thanks for your help!

@Guillaume LOYER, Thanks for posting in Q&A. Yes, your understanding is correct. each publisher is responsible for the versions of its application on the different stores. And it seems the Slack app is not updated in Microsoft Store new. This needs Slack support to upload the new update in Microsoft Store new. I notice you have opened a ticket to Slack. You can ask them to do this.

Meanwhile, apps that are deployed from the Microsoft Store new are automatically kept up to date to the latest version of the app. For this feature to work properly for UWP apps, the Turn off Automatic Download and Install of updates should not be enabled. So if the new version update is published, the device will automatically install it.

Hope the above information can help.

Really try always to use Store (new) as a primary method.
