How to prevent Outlook Attachment share via Native Notes App?

I have created an App Protection Policy, under data protection section, settings as below:


Save copies of org data:Block

Allow user to save copies to selected services: OneDrive for Business

Transfer telecommunication data to: Any dialer app

Dialer App URL Scheme: --

Receive data from other apps: All Apps

Open data into Org documents: Allow

Allow users to open data from selected services: OneDrive for Business/ SharePoint/ Camera/ Photo Library

Restrict cut, copy, and paste between other apps: Policy managed apps with paste in

Cut and copy character limit for any app: 0

Third party keyboards: Allow

Encrypt org data: Require

Sync policy managed app data with native apps or add-ins: Block

Printing org data: Allow

Restrict web content transfer with other apps: Any app

Unmanaged browser protocol: --

Org data notifications: Allow


From Mobile Outlook in iPhone, I tried to open the Word document, and found that I have an option to share the attachment Via Notes

And can successfully embed the docx to Notes and saved in iCloud.

Can I disable this option by inTune app protection policy?

    From the settings you provided, there is nothing incorrect. To clarify this issue, we appreciate your help to collect some information:

    1.Please check if this app protection policy is assigned to a user group and the user you used to sign in Outlook app is included in this user group.

    2.Is this app protection policy deployed successfully? Please click on Troubleshooting + support > select a target user and check "App protection status".
