Internet becomes slow when using OneNote

Whenever I have OneNote open the internet becomes very slow.

Did this problem only appear recently?

How did you open the OneNote? From local app or from web?

Did you mean the OneNote slow or all Internet connection slow?

This problem has existed since I bought a new M2 macbook pro.

It only happens when I open the OneNote app.

OneNote is fine but the internet connection becomes very slow.

Thank you but this article doesn't seem to be the same problem. My theory is that OneNote uses up all internet bandwidth trying to backup my notes. Is there any way to reduce the bandwidth its allowed to use in order to check this?
