Hi,

I am new to SCCM and would like to seek advice on "Maintenance Window".

We find that Consultant has set up "Maintenance Window" for "All Servers" to Last Saturday 1:00am to 5:00am with "Restart Server". He also sets up 2 "Device Collection" for servers - "Server - Pilot Group" and "Server - Production Group". Is "Maintenance Window" inherited from "All Servers" to both "Server - Pilot Group" and "Server - Production Group"

We would like to ask in our configuration, does it mean that all Servers (Pilot and Production) will be installed and rebooted at the same time (i.e. Last Saturday 1:00am to 5:00am) ?

    Hi,
Maintenance window that is applied at collection level is for the device and any deployments that are targeted to the device will happen during the maintenance window.
In your case, yes, the client that is part of any collection will have the maintenance window of 1am to 5am.
For more information about the maintenance window, please read https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/core/clients/manage/collections/use-maintenance-windows
