FSX Profile Sync issue between Session hosts

We have 2 session hosts in a host pool and installed Fsx Logix on both the sessions hosts. When i login to First session host via client portal app and create files in downloads or documents folder it is leaving the files on there. Once i sign out and login to the session i still see the same files. This is a Pooled environment and non-persistent the behaviour should delete those files. Also, When i login after a while if i get a session on 2nd session host i will not see those files. But when i login to and get a session on 1st session host i will again see those files.

Hello, @AKR !

Have you verified that the FSLOGIX profile gets created and is used for the user? From the description here it sounds like a local profile is being created.

@kobulloc-MSFT Currently the FSX share is setup on Azure files and integrated with AD services. I checked on the Azure files and it is creating profiles on the the share. Please find attached screen cap. When i manually login to session host i see profile user C:\users<username> but when i logoff from the session that session disappears. I am not sure how to make sure the user can see files on both the session hosts...

I'm having trouble with FSX Profile Sync between Session hosts

I reached out to an Azure Virtual Desktop specialist and if FSlogix works correctly, the expectation is that the c:\users\<username> folder will disappear after logging off from the VM. A user cannot be logged on with the same profile on 2 session hosts at the same time--they would need to log off first, then log on to another VM/host pool or else the VHDX would be locked and the second session would be a temporary file.

@kobulloc-MSFT When i login to the session host 1 i do see a folder created under c:\users<username> and when i logoff that is getting deleted automatically. But the issue is when i login to the session host 2 what ever files i have saved on the downloads folder i am not able to see them on Session host 2. But when i log back in to the session host 1 i am able to see those files.

Ah, so session host 1 is working as expected however session host 2 is not?

@kobulloc-MSFT Session host 2 is also workin as expected. It creates folder under c:\users<usrename> but the thing is FSlogix file sync is not working between both the session hosts. File created in Session host remain there itself. Files created in Session host 2 remain on that host. I can see the same files regardless which sesssion host i login to.

Is there anything in event viewer?

I would suggest you to use proc mon to identify if there is nothing on the event viewer.
