Hello,

I would like to know how could I size the drive where I have wsus content ?
I create 200GB hard drive but only 15 is used for W10 + W10 1909+ + Office 2013 + Office 2016.
I think in this repository all the content of my updates is downloaded and then, it's the same size on the distribution point when I distribute it.
Am I wrong ?

Thank you for your help

wsus content ( i believe you referring to wsus post config folder) folder do not store the actual content that is used by clients when installing. WSUS folder store the license information and any 3rd party content that you integrate with ConfigMgr. The actual content of the patches is you download to source files (UNC path, anywhere) and distribute to distribution points.

You should look at expanding the size of the source files that you download the updates to but not wsus content folder.

    Hello,

Thank you for your answer and thank you for your blog. I learn a lot from it :)
    Ok, I have done G:\windowsupdates
In windows update folder I have :
WsusContent : licence information and any 3rd party content -> ok !
UpdateServicesPackages : I put all my ADR package here.

So, my folder UpdateServicesPackages contains all the data downloaded by my adr. right ?

    Hi @matteu31 ,

Basically right. During deployment, updates are placed in source files (G:\windowsupdates), then copied to Contentlibrary, and finally copied from Contentlibrary to DP.

You can place the source folder to store the ADR updates anywhere you want as long as it is UNC path. Need not to be WSUS folder location and is not recommended to place anything inside the WSUS config folders as they are meant for specific purpose.
Downloading the updates using ADR or normal updates deployments can be the usual source folder location where you store all the content. This will then be distributed to distribution points.

I am not sure if am following you correctly.
