Win 2016 WSE Client Backup missing Portable Base Layer

One of my win 10 clients has recently (since September) start failing the backup with the Portable Base Layer 'drive' being unsuccessful.

All the other win 10 clients are being successfully backed up (including the Portable Base Layer) and I can find no reference online to suggest why this is happening.

Any ideas please?

    Hi,
    1.Kindly following instruction in below link to check the backup related log and confirm if any error message was related to the failure.

    2.After checking the logs, for the problematic client, kindly try to exclude the Portable Base Layer folder and test again.

    3.Compare the windows update history of working and non-working windows 10 clients and ensure that they are updated to the same.

    Without the Portable Base Layer the backup was successful. Is the Portable Base Layer only used for Windows Sandbox?
