I was following instructions under Azure Fundamentals: Describe Azure Architecture > Describe the core architectual components of Azure > Exercise - Create an Azure resouce (unit 7 of 9) but I can't move on because I get an error when trying to follow Task 1: Create a virtual machine.
Next step i'm supposed to "Select Create" but it's grayed out and the error message "Validation failed for the following tab: Basics. Required information is missing or not valid." shows
what do i need to do to more forward?

step 1 - Sign in to the Azure portal.
step 2 - Select Create a resource > Compute > Virtual Machine > Create.

While we acknowledge that you are diligently following the documentation, we are unable to identify the specific issues you are encountering.
Can you please provide us with screenshots which include all the settings on the basics tab, as shown in the screenshot below.
Hi. Sorry, I was working on sending screenshots yesterday and realize i may have added the comment too soon but when i tried refreshing the page it was blank so I didn't think it went through.
I tried again several times yesterday but still failed. tried again this morning with the same settings I had yesterday and it magically worked!! I don't understand why but im just glad its working now. Mahalo for your time.

From your question we understand that you are getting an error while trying to create a virtual machine. We tried multiple times to create the virtual machine using the same configuration as shown in your screenshot. We were able to create the virtual machine.
Could you please re-activate the sandbox and retry and let us know how it goes.
I understand you are following documentation, just to isolate the issue can please try selecting a different size of SKU and retry.
Can you please provide us with screenshots which include all the settings on the basics tab.
