Hi community, I am new and I want to use azure IoT to connect a new device, I don't know where to start. My idea is to connect a device to azure iot and take the telemetry information of this device from a mobile application, but I don't know how to generate credentials, nor where the telemetry information of the device is stored. I hope you can help me, thanks!

Maximiliano Gibert Greetings & Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum!

To get started, you can follow this quickstart guide: Send telemetry from an IoT Plug and Play device to Azure IoT Hub This guide will walk you through the steps to create an IoT Hub, register a device, generate credentials, and send telemetry data from a simulated device.

Once you have sent the telemetry data to the IoT Hub, you can use Azure services like Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Functions, or Azure Logic Apps to process and store the data. You can also use Azure IoT Central to visualize and manage your devices.

To get started, you need to create an Azure IoT Central application and connect your first device. You can use a smartphone app to act as the device and send telemetry to the IoT Central application.

See Use your smartphone as a device to send telemetry to an IoT Central application for step by step guidance.

Prerequisites has all the information including how to get subscription.

Also, see Azure IoT Hub get started with physical devices tutorials and IoT Central device connectivity guide

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.
