Hi,

Since yesterday, July 29, the Reply (or Reply All) and Forward buttons are not responding in my Outlook (Microsoft 365 on Windows 10 Pro) app. It's not that the buttons are grayed out, they appear active, but simply don't respond. I've tried all the following methods:

  • Right-click + Reply/Forward
  • Clicking one of the 'arrow' buttons above the message.
  • Double-click to open a Message in new Window, choose Reply/Forward.

Always the same result. It's happening with 2 different MIcrosoft 365 accounts I use, also a Gmail account. This only started happening yesterday, July 29.

I have Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2023.719.200 (Production).

Client Version is 20230721005.08

Any suggestions please? This doesn't happen when I use Outlook / Microsoft 365 web version. But I need the Windows App. As a fall back, how can I get back to the old Outlook App? This never happened with it....

    Hi @DL-2225 ,

    Welcome to our forum!

Based on my test on New Outlook for windows with the same version as yours (as shown in the below figure), i can reply and forward successfully.

As a fall back, how can I get back to the old Outlook App?

We can turn the New Outlook button to switch to Legacy Outlook. It's suggested that you could try to switch to Legacy Outlook and then re-turn to New Outlook to check if the issue persists.

If the issue persists, considering that it would also be affected when the outlook program itself is damaged, it is recommended that you try to fix the Office application.

If it doesn't work, it's suggested that you could try to uninstall and reinstall to check if there're any differences.

    Hope to help you!
