Issues with getting my Custom Vision Project on HoloLens2

Hello, I wanted to ask if can I get my Azure Custom Vision project for image recognition to be deployed on my HoloLens2? For reference, I would like my HoloLens2 to recognize the image of a specific 3D printer. I followed this Microsoft tutorial, but realized that their goal for azure custom vision integration was different from what I'm looking to accomplish with my project. As for the steps to complete this: should I download my custom vision project as an .ONNX file, import the C# script into Unity3D, debug the script until Unity allows me to create a build in the build settings, and then deploy my project onto the HoloLens2 using Visual Studio 2022? A question such as this has not been answered on this forum. So if anyone would know if this is possible, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

romungi-MSFT 43,656 Reputation points Microsoft Employee2023-08-03T10:18:43.74+00:00 @Matthew O'Leary With respect to Azure custom vision, yes you can export it in the required format and use it to run offline, but I am not sure how it can be used with HoloLens as I do not have any experience with it. I see Hololens1 documentation which talks about your approach but I am not sure if same is applicable with Hololens2. I am hoping other using tracking hololens development tag could advise if this is possible. Thanks!!

2023-08-03T19:51:52.68+00:00 Thank you again @romungi-MSFT ! I noticed the same thing when attempting to find documentation on how to do this. I would find it to be a bit surprising if this method does not work with HoloLens2 as well, but it most likely has to do with the method being used on the HoloLens1.

That said, in theory, it should be possible to do on HL2. This is sample at least to base investigation work:

2023-08-10T18:11:59.0566667+00:00 Hi @Nathan Manis - MSFT , I tried to follow that tutorial before but have gotten stuck. I have previously documented my errors with that tutorial in my previous question on my profile. In short, I have errors when attempting to upload the images from the HoloLens2 to Azure. I am unsure why this is even though I had the correct credentials input into the Unity3D script. Do you think there could be another reason as to why this did not work as intended other than an error with credentials?
