Why do Azure AD domain-joined devices show the WORKGROUP domain in system properties?

Dear Support,

This may be a silly question, but I'd like to ask if Azure AD domain-joined devices still show WORKGROUP in system properties? As suggested in the technical forum, I've checked other settings to confirm whether the machine is joined to a domain or not, but when I checked the traditional way, it was a WORKGROUP domain, so I thought I'd ask for suggestions from experts.

    Joining/registering devices to Azure AD is not the same thing as joining them to on-premises AD, thus it does not affect the settings in question. There is the "Hybrid joined" device concept, in which you will have the device added to both.     @MJ, Thanks for posting in Q&A. From the screenshot you provided, I notice the "AzureADJoined" Yes and "DomainJoined" No. That means this is an Azure AD Joined device. You can confirm this with the device "Join Type" in Azure AD portal.

    For the Azure AD joined device, it can show the WORKGROUP domain in system properties. This is normal.
