Hi @Sam Crawford ,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thanks for posting the query.
As per my understanding, we don't have such documents showing performance benchmarks for CDS Native API and Microsoft Power Automate. From performance side, it would be similar in any of the tools. Using API vs Power Automate/ADF(Azure data factory) is also dependent on the technical expertise available with the team as the Power Automate and ADF are less-code tools to help developers with less programming background. Also, Power Automate is primarily preferred when we have lot of workflow based scenarios that needs to be automated. ADF is a powerful ETL tool which can be connected to wide range of data sources to pull the data and this would be more useful if various sources and transformations are needed for the data while loading into CDS and other sources used in the project.
Apart from this, there are certain limitations in every tool used for data loading. Ex: Alternate key is not supported in ADF. Depending on data and project requirements, the appropriate tool can be chosen. Below are reference documents that can be referred.
Hope this helps! Please let us know for further queries and we will be glad to assist.
