As far as I know it's currently not possible to trigger an Azure Backup by using the IP address.

If we have two ip address allocated with one VM name, how can we trigger backup?
I am using below azure backup command:
az backup protection backup-now --resource-group <rg> --vault-name <vault> --container-name <container> --item-name <vm name> --retain-until 20-11-2020 --backup-management-type AzureIaasVM
And getting below error:
Command group 'backup' is in preview. It may be changed/removed in a future release.\nMultiple items found. Please give native names instead.
