I use our domain email set up through gmail for security and to avoid any black ball issues the hosting company may encounter. The interface with gmail doesn't work any more with Legacy Outlook for Mac. So I'm stuck using New Outlook for Mac. All the chatter from Microsoft about reverting to Legacy is wrong if you're going through gmail. Before the interface broke, I tried setting some things up in New Outlook for Mac, then reverted back to Legacy, Legacy was corrupted and when I went back to New, any data entered was lost. A cluster all around.
Now that I have to use New, I can't even drag contacts from Legacy into New Outlook. When I drag, only one stays. It means I have to reenter every contact - over 500. And now I discover that apparently there is no way to create Contact Lists / Categories. I have multiple profiles and categories within each profile that are specific to that profile.
Now, when I create a contact in new, it goes into one generic list.
WHEN WILL NEW OUTLOOK FOR MAC HAVE THE CONTACT LIST AND CATEGORY FEATURES?
I'm hoping for a specific date, not "we're working on it." (If I sound upset, it's because I am. I'm trying to make a living and Microsoft's actions are forcing me to spend hundreds of hours on wasted work instead of selling and servicing my customers - who I would never treat this way.)
