Has anyone experienced any issues after applying KB 4486689 – Office Web Apps Server 2013 October 2020 CU?

We are experiencing an issue where the "Edit in Word Web App" option is greyed out for docx files. It is not greyed out for doc files, but of course when it is selected, it asks to convert it to a docx file, and then the option to "Edit in Word Web App" is again greyed out

xlsx, pptx files seem to be fine

Any thoughts?

    Hi @Dean

    Please checking the following:

1.Go to your Office web app.

2.Open your browser, put the following URL in your IE browser.
http://servername/hosting/discovery server name is your app server

3.If there is no errors, you will find an xml file

4.Ensure your word is in the excel file.

In addition, you can try to run the following powershell command:

    remove-spwopibinding

    New-SPWOPIBinding -ServerName ServerName.Domain.Com

You may need to put -Allowhttp in the command if you don't use port 443 SSL
