Hi.

This's HUI.

When I want to download a program from my working PC, the IE Edge shows a pop-up MSG "DO YOU WAN TO REPORT IT AS A UNSAFE PROGRAM? " I clicked "Yes", and have chosen the reason that "may contain some unnecessary advertisement", then clicked "Submit".

Is there any method that I can use to reverse this action or unblock the defender? Because this program is safe and I have to use it in my daily working day.

For your reference, I've shut down the Defender smart screen but it still doesn't work...I can get the program downloaded, but can't use it.

Please kindly check it and reply to me as soon as possible.

Thx.

    Hi HUI,

To unblock the program that you have reported as unsafe, please follow these steps:

    1. Open Windows Security.
    2. Select "App & browser control".
    3. Under "Reputation-based protection", select "Protection history".
    4. Here you should see a list of all blocked items. Find your program and there should be an option to "Allow" on the item details.

If this doesn't work, you may need to whitelist the program in Windows Defender by following these steps:

    1. Open Windows Security.
    2. Select "Virus & threat protection".
    3. Under "Virus & threat protection settings", select "Manage settings".
    4. Scroll down and select "Add or remove exclusions" under "Exclusions".
    5. Select "Add an exclusion" and then choose "File" or "Folder" depending on your needs. Navigate to your program and select it.

Please note that you should only do this if you are confident that the program is safe. If you are still unable to run the program, the issue may be with the program itself. In that case, contacting the software vendor may be the next step.
