Copy db from dev to UAT env

Assuming both your servers are in same subscription and tenant and you want to copy the database as is including the data, below URL would help :

If you just need to create a replica of DB without data, you would need to extract the dacpac of the dev database and deploy it on new server

The most easy way would be to use portal copy functionality or use powershell :

New-AzSqlDatabaseCopy -ResourceGroupName "<resourceGroup>" -ServerName $sourceserver -DatabaseName "<databaseName>" `
    -CopyResourceGroupName "myResourceGroup" -CopyServerName $targetserver -CopyDatabaseName "CopyOfMySampleDatabase"

Its same subscription and sql servers are different. UAT server is created and an empty db say for eg"Test" is created.

I need to copy from 'devserver: testdb" to "uatserver:test" in same subscription.

Hey,So powershell and Portal copy would be the easy way to do that

Do we have to install powershell in our local machine? Is it windows power shell or any other cloud app?

Also give me details on portal copy
