Hello,

From what I understand, the W2K22 Azure VM Hotpatch images will follow this schedule:

User's image

My question is about the "Planned/Unplanned Baselines" schedules and planning a high available service (File Server) reboots:

  • If the July/Aug/October/Jan updates require a reboot and I set the VM in the Portal to:
    • Reboot Setting: Never Reboot (because of the service File Server being used 24/7) User's image
  1. When exactly is the update being installed (date/time)?
  2. Can we see or get alerted when a update is installed or when a reboot is required?

If I set to "Never reboot" and I know when the update is installed then I can set a Task Schedule task to shutdown -r -t

We also have SCCM which manages all other OS software updates but I don't see how

Thanks, M
