Does Lync Server affect when Active Directory migrated ?

Our client Active Directory environment currently run two WS2012R2 and one WS2022, replicate each other. We plan to migrate all WS2012R2 to WS2022. Our client afraid Lync will not work after migration. Any suggestion ?
