How to change account administrator for an Azure subscription

Hi guys,

I have to change classic subscription administrator roles (I know they will be retired next year), because I don't want the guy who created the subscription to have those roles anymore.

To do that I logged in with his account and changed the service administrator, I was about to change also the billing ownership (which I think would have also changed the account administrator) but now I cannot view the sub anymore. Do I need to log in as the new service administrator to do that?

EDIT: Solved.

I had to grant the previous service administrator the correct RBAC role over the sub, then open the settings and transfer the billing ownership as always.

    It's good to hear that you were able to resolve the issue by granting the previous service administrator the correct RBAC role over the subscription and then transferring the billing ownership. This is a common procedure when you want to change the subscription's administration roles and billing ownership.
